About Julia

Julia (she/her) was raised in a suburb of Chicago and began her theatrical career on and offstage at Fremd High School.


She attended Beloit College and graduated in 2020 after completing a quadruple major in Theatre Production, Theatre Performance, Creative Writing, and Literary Studies. While there she worked as a technician and then supervisor in both the Costume and Scene shops and worked on a variety of productions as a technician, performer, stage manager, designer, choreographer, director, and playwright.


She was also a member of Beloit College's sketch comedy troupe Adult Themes and served as Secretary, Vice-President, and President of Beloit's student theatre collective BITE (Beloit Independent Theatre Experience). During her time working with BITE she ran the first three Annual 24 Hour Play Festivals and the first two annual BITE of Beloit fundraisers, which focused on bringing together various performing arts groups on campus to raise money for charitable organizaitons.


After graduating, Julia made the decision to pivot into theatre education due to her passion for working with young people. She spent a year volunteering with Americorps in the Chicago Public Schools district. She then moved to teaching drama and directing school productions at The Grier School.


Julia returned to Chicago in August 2023 and has worked with various theatre organization and schools in the Chicagoland area teaching and directing.
